St Mary’s Pre-school Sponsored Toddle

Tuesday 8th July 2008

The Sponsored Toddle is a bit of an annual event at St Mary's Pre-school, Chesham when as many children as are able walk from Pre-school to the top of Lowndes Park in Chesham.

It's quite a long way for little legs, so we usually stop for a drink and a snack at the top under the trees before making the rather swifter journey down the hill again! The main incentive is, of course, getting to the top, but some encouragement is found in friends and family pledging a little sponsorship for a different charity each year to egg the children on. Pre-school shares 50% of the sponsorship money raised and it is a little way of reminding the children that there are others less fortunate in the world who we can help.

The Madeleine Steel Charitable Trust is fortunate to be the charity that St Mary's Pre-school is supporting this year

We  are looking forward to hearing all about it and being able to post some pictures! - We are crossing our fingers that the weather is kind to our brave toddlers!
